Geocache Description:

This series of 7 Geocaches will take you on a tour of some of the towns most iconic places. You can do one or all 7, all at once or over time, in any order you like. If you plan to seek all 7 caches, please record the number found at 4 of the Geocaches. You will require these numbers to complete the co-ordinates for the Mystery Series Finale 'Welcome to Maryborough #8 - Regional Park'. Of the 8 Geocaches, no 2 cache containers are the same.

Welcome to McLandress Square

McLandress Square is the name given to Maryborough's civic centre, located on the site of the one of the former government camps in the area. In European style, the Italianate buildings face a small square, known as McLandress Square. The Victorian Post Office was built in 1877 as a post office, courthouse and sub-treasury. The Town Hall was built in 1887 and the Courthouse in 1892-93. All 3 are still in use today.

The co-ordinates will take you to a Commemorative War statue situated in the middle of McLandress Square (please be wary of traffic during business hours & note that you will need to be respectful if visiting during ANZAC Day Events/preparations as this is the centre of the towns ceremonies).
Use the Information on the Statue to complete the co-ordinates.

S37 02. ABA  E143 44.CDC

A= The number of letters in the month on the date plaque below THE GREAT WAR plaque.
B= The number of lines of text on the KOREA-MALAYA-VIETNAM plaque. (Do not include dates)
C= The number of times the letter Y appears on the WORLD WAR II plaque.
D= The 5th digit on the bottom line of the KOREA-MALAYA-VIETNAM plaque.

If all answers are correct, they will add up to 25.

GZ is a very short distance from the Statue. You will need to be extremely stealthy if attempting during business hours. The cache contains Log Book & Pen. (Swaps/TB's will not fit). Please be careful when replacing - It may be easier to remove the Log/Pen rather than the cache itself...

The GPS tends to be a little indecisive in this area, possibly due to the building nearby. You may need to widen your searching area a bit.
