JMH...Jared Michael Hobgood. What can I say about a friend gone too soon? This cache is sort of a tribute to my great friend, Jared. A way for those making it here "too late" to meet him, here is just a glimpse of who this man was. A father. A friend. A musician and songwriter and one hell of an entertainer. When I first moved to this island, JMH was a key player in making this island "home" to me. He never once hesitated to provide a good time with his quick witted sense of humor and ever so generous soul. There is a chance some of you may know this man by his regular performances down @ a popular Irish Bar on the 200 block of Duval Street here in Key West. He used to pack that place out the door with his jokes and in your face show. An unsung Key West hero, if you will, and a legend without doubt. His guitar now hangs in a glass case along with his microphone, a memorial plaque and photo. Certain times of the afternoon the sunlight shines directly on his photo. He always "dressed for the occasion" no matter what was going on in Key West. -As Key West as Key West gets- this man was a worthy representative for this islands flare of life. He is GREATLY missed by many that were close to him. I know I miss him dearly. He was one of those types of people that you come across just once in a lifetime. I hope this helps to keep his legend alive! Rest easy, JMH!!! ~Southernmost EAGLE aka "Desert Eagle"

He was a mighty man, made countless people happy throughout his years performing and a very dearly missed friend to many. Here's one for you, JMH!

Thanks!
