Geocache Description:

Should be an easy P&G. The cache contains only a log so you know it's teeny weenie. Tweezers will be helpful. Plenty of room to park on the side of the road.

The current Barnett’s Bridge was constructed about 1978. The previous bridge was Butts County’s last iron span. It was demolished in 1976.

This cache replaces one that was demolished in 2014. Take a few minutes to admire Lake Jackson! The bridge is named for Van Kersey who, with his wife Frankie, ran a small restaurant and boat ramp at this location for many, many years. Many a Butts County resident (and others) have enjoyed a KerseyBurger here. Sadly, Kersey's is no more...only the foundation is left.
