Mornington Crescent as played on the BBC radio 4 comedy panel show I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue
This is a complex strategy game named after a London Underground station on the Charing Cross branch of the Northern Line, between Euston and Camden Town in Travelcard Zone 2. There can be few people in the civilised world who do not already know the basic rules of Mornington Crescent, so we shall not insult cachers by re-iterating them here. Suffice it to say, if a blow to the head has caused you to have temporarily forgotten them, or if you come from an uncivilised part of the world, you will certainly pick them up as you go along.

Beginners will discover that playing to the advanced game rules of Mornington Crescent is a little like cricket, somewhat similar to cribbage, quite a lot like tiddleywinks , but much more like watching your laundry rotate in the tumble-drier. For further enlightenment on the subject, look no further than here
