An International Baccalaureate world school is a way to approach learning on a worldwide scale. All 8th grade students attending an IB school are required to do a community project. This is a way for them to put their personal interests into the community. Our Project is to promote our school district and area in a different way.
The Elk Rapids school district was founded in 1853. At that time there were several one room school houses throughout the area. A high school was built in Elk Rapids in 1874. There are currently two elementary, one middle school, and one high school being used in the Elk Rapids school district.
