SS38 Traditional Cache

Die SS38 ist die italienische Staatsstrasse welche von Bozen aus über dem Stilfserjoch im oberen Vinschgau bis zum Como See führt. In früheren Zeiten war der Abschnitt zwischen Bozen und Meran jener mit am meisten Verkehrsaufkommen. Nachdem diesen mit Hilfe der 1999 eröffneten MeBo (Schnellstrasse) abhilfe geschaffen wurden, ist in den letzten Jahren das Verkehrsaufkommen im Vinschgau sehr stark angestiegen. Viele Gemeinden, darunter auch Partschins und Naturns arbeiten intensive an der Verkehrsberuhigung in den jeweiligen Dörfern.

La SS38 è la strada statale italiana che porta da Bolzano sulla Stelvio in Val Venosta superiore al Lago di Como. In passato, il tratto tra Bolzano e Merano è stato quello con la maggior parte del traffico. Dopo la messa in funzione della MeBo (autostrada) nel 1999 il problema è stato quasi risolto, il traffico purtroppo nella Val Venosta é però aumentato considerevolmente negli ultimi anni. Molte comunità, tra cui Parcines e Naturno lavoro intensivo presso la moderazione del traffico nei villaggi.

The SS38 is the Italian national road which leads from Bolzano on the Stelvio in the upper Vinschgau to Lake Como. In earlier times, the section between Bolzano and Merano was the one with the most traffic. After the MeBo (highway) opened 1999 this problems were remedied, the traffic in the Vinschgau is risen sharply in recent years. Many communities, including Parcines and Naturno work intensive at the traffic calming in the villages.
