Welcome to The Villages Golf Cart Ride geocaching series.
"All Geocaching inside The Villages needs to be done during daylight hours only. Failure to follow this guideline could result in the loss of privileges to place and keep geocaches within the community."
This series is designed to circumvent The Villages primarily via golf carts but is accessible via bikes, walking and other vehicles. Most have parking for golf carts and bikes at GZ. Other vehicles will require a short walk to GZ.
The series has a difficulty factor of 2 or less. Meaning most caches are truly “Park and Grabs”.
The series has Terrain factor of 2 or less. Meaning it has easy access.
The series is designed for new geocachers and is available to Basic and Premium members.
The cache is not on or near (within 3 feet of) any electrical or sprinkler control equipment.
Stealth required; This means always re-hide the cache container as you found it and in the same location. If it was covered by natural camouflage, then re-hide it with the same or slightly more camouflage. Remember you are re-hiding it for the next cacher to find and they want to enjoy the hunt too…..
Be mindful of plants and shrubbery while searching.
Take a moment to kick back and enjoy the scenery. This series tours you past many of The Villages’ most scenic views. Take pictures at your favorite caches or scenic views and post them when you are logging your find.
Most caches require you to have a pen/pencil and tweezers or needle nose pliers.
Muggles are all around you.
