Geocache Description:

For the experienced cacher, this should be a P&G.  For the novice, it may be a park, but there are several hiding spots, some not quite as obvious as others.  

This can not be accessed from I-64 and is NOT recommended for night caching.

"Ozymandias"

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Remember this from high school Senior English?  Well, I admit, I don't see a lot of sands of any sort here, shattered is here, and wreck, and this was a "king of kings."  For years this was the site of one of the best motels on the Penninsula - please note the signs about private property go to the motel that is no longer here.  I guess competition and age finally got the better of it and it fell to the wrecking ball.  What will come after?  Hard to tell.  In the meantime you have a hidden pill bottle to find in an area with lots of hiding spots.  Which one holds the log?  For the techie, co-ordinates were taken on a cloudy spring day with two Garmins, and ETrex with multiple averaged readings and a Map62S with one averaged reading.  Northing varied from 331 to 333 and westing from 511 to 517.  Cache container is a covered pill container.  Be careful in retrieval.  Please return cache container to where you found it. You will need to BYOP, but there is room for a pathtag and very small swag, which you will find in the cache.  FTF gains great personal satisfaction. This can not be accessed from I-64 and is NOT recommended for night caching.  

 

 

I will give FTF credit to the Green Cloud Clan, but I surely hope they somehow got the FTF during daylight hours. This is NOT a safe find after dark. Please read attributes and descriptions. I am not going to go bail out any cacher arrested after dark.
