Geocache Description:

Travel back in time to one of the few still unchanged neighborhoods in Manhattan. Discover an area rarely seen on any tour of the city but teeming with families and history. 

This cache was placed by a local Girl Scout troop, earning their Geocache badge. They've placed a Travel Bug as well, hoping for it to travel to all the continents! Most of the girls were born and raised in this area, a hidden gem of a neighborhood, the true Lower East Side. Explore the unknown streets and quiet life just below the Williamsburg Bridge. You'll find some beautiful architecture and people from all walks of life down here. If you've got extra time just keep walking and enjoy the newly revitalized East River Park. BYOP
