Geocache Description:

This is a micro to add to the tricky one already placed at this giant shoppping mall. Parking is plentiful but could be a problem during high shopping periods. Stealth will be needed since there seems to be a steady stream of shoppers coming and going.

Congratulations to Perfectly Centred for First to Find. Honorable Mention to Luvvinbird

The search to find this inconspicuous container will bring you to a fascinating bronze sculpture called Universal Man created by the Canadian artist Gerald Gladstone (1929-2005). It stands more than 21 feet high and weighs some 6,000 pounds. It originally stood beside the CN Tower from 1976-1987 to give a balance of human scale to the tower. When the SkyDome (now known as the Rogers Centre) began construction, the sculpture had to be moved. In September 1994, it was unveiled at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre and has remained there.

I was awed by this piece of art when I first saw it and I hope you will be too. According to its creator, Universal Man symbolizes "earthbound human energies reaching towards a higher universal knowledge".
