There are several parking areas within a short walking distance of this multi cache, depending on what kind of a view you like best. Parking is available on West Street, along the Welland Canal; at Sugarloaf Marina (Marina Drive, off of Elm Street); or at H.H. Knoll Park (turn right, before Elm St. becomes Marina Drive). No matter where you choose to start your trek, you will have great views of the water!
I've recently started walking this trail on an almost nightly basis. It is incredibly peaceful and relaxing to end my day with a view of the water. The nearby park is starting to get very busy, with the nicer weather, so this quiet side-spur of the trail makes for a nice contrast.
As you move between the stages of this cache, you may be able to see a ship passing through the canal, or sailboats heading out from the Marina.
Take a moment to stop and enjoy the view!
based on feedback from the FTF duo (congrats Olivetoria & DCBRJ), I have increased the difficulty to a 3. I guess I hid stage one a little better than I thought!!
