This is an easy two-stage multi. Well, the final is a little tricky, I guess. Visit the posted coordinates to find the answer to several questions and determine the location of the geocache.
Congrats to Carol.O on FTF!
At the posted coordinates you will find a very old pear tree. It was planted over 200 years ago by Peter Bishop Junior, after moving to Nova Scotia from New London, Connecticut with his wife Amy. In the garden surrounding the tree you will see a small metal plaque. Use it to answer the questions below and find the coordinates of the geocache.
- How many letters are there in the first name of Mr. Bishop's new bride?. Call this "A".
- What year was this pear tree brought here? Call the second digit of the year "B".
- How many letters are there in the Mr. Bishop's first name? Call this "C"
- This geocache was placed in 2015. How old (in years) was the tree then? Call the last digit of this age "D"
The final coordinates of the cache are N45 04.ABC W064 26.DCD. Note that the final Westing coordinate has a 26, not a 25. To check your coordinates, note that A+B+C+D = 15.
