The Headingley Grand Trunk Trail stretches 10 kilometers from the Perimeter Highway To Beaudry Park.The trail runs along an abandoned railway line used by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway which was active from 1894 to 1972. There are a variety of habitats along its course including one of the few intact river bottom forests in Manitoba and a small stand of tall grass prairie.
There are a variety of sizes and shapes of container along the trail. Every effort has been made to avoid ditches and some caches are not winter friendly or may be difficult to reach. The caches may be reached by bicycle, skis and hiking - no motorized vehicles please.
Many roads intersect the trail at various points which will allow the trail to be done in sections by most cachers.
