One of the geocaches placed for the 2015 Geocaching Circuit by the Washington Park District and the Washington Historical Society. Each one highlights a location in town of historic significance. Be sure you make a note of the special code inside the geocache!!
The George Bowen Family donated 3 acres of ground to the Washington Park District and also allowed the purchase of the remaining 10.8 acres so the site could be used for recreation purposes. Bowen Lake is named in honor of the Bowen Family.
The Washington Historical Society would like to thank the Washington Park District for granting permission for the placement of this geocache.
