In augustus 2014 bezochten wij, samen met R&B Caching en The AXE Factor,
de BLOCKPARTY en HQ GEOCACHING in Seattle.
It was August 2014 as R&B Caching, The AXE Factor,
and us visited THE BLOCKPARTY and GEOCACHING HQ in Seattle.
Daar hebben we de kantoorruimtes van Geocaching HQ mogen bezoeken en behalve dat we heel veel plezier hebben gehad,
is door ons natuurlijk ook menig cache gevonden.
We did get the chance to visit the offices where all the lackeys from Geocaching HQ do their nice work and not only did we have a lot of fun,
we even got to find lots of caches nearby.
Uiteraard hebben we ook vele Geocachers ontmoet, in Seattle, Vancouver maar ook Portland waar we
de allereerste cache uit het Geocaching bestaan hebben bezocht.
Eén van de Geocachers die we daar hebben ontmoet, Jodi Noto Jørgensen, komt ons hier in Nederland bezoeken, haar alias is GrammaJoi (check de related webpage) en natuurlijk gaan we tijdens dat bezoek allerlei typisch Nederlandse attracties met haar bezoeken.
Haar ultieme wens was om haar 4000ste cache in Nederland te vinden en we proberen natuurlijk dat op dit event uit te laten komen.
Ofcourse we got to meet great amounts of Geocachers in Seattle, Vancouver but also near Portland where we visited the memorial for the very first cache in Geocaching history.
One of the Geocachers we met over there, Jodi Noto Jørgensen, will be visiting our small country, the Netherlands. Her nickname is GrammaJoi (check the related webpage) and as expected we will try to show her several typical Dutch memorable places.
One of her upmost wishes is to achieve her #4000 found here in the Netherlands.
This event, in favour of her visit, can be that cache, probably will be even!!
We gaan gezellig samenkomen op de eerste verdieping van restaurant de Waag in Doesburg, waar de gastheer ons met plezier ziet komen, en de avond het karakter van een Stammtisch / Meet & Greet heeft.
Jodi zal zeer enthousiast en verrast zijn met jullie komst en
de fantastische verhalen die jullie met haar willen delen.
Er is een lift aanwezig, dus in onze ogen is de Waag rolstoeltoegankelijk.
You are all invited to join us at the first floor in restaurant de Waag in Doesburg, where the host will be pleased to welcome us and the evening will have a "Stammtisch / Meet & Greet" kind-of-character.
You can imagine Jodi will be very surprised if you all would take the oppurtunity to share your experiences and fantastic stories to tell.
The restaurant has an elevator, so we assume de Waag is wheelchair-friendly.
We zijn welkom vanaf 19:30 uur en omstreeks 22:00 uur nemen we Jodi weer mee naar huis,
zodat we de andere ochtend weer fris verder kunnen met ons drukke programma.
Al de door u geconsumeerde versnaperingen worden op een consumptiekaart genoteerd en we verzoeken u deze bij het verlaten van het event zelf, cash of per pin, af te rekenen.
We are welcome as of 19:30 hrs and about 22:00 hrs we will bring Jodi to her temporarily HOME,
so we will be fresh to start our busy schedule the next morning.
Everything you consume will be noted on a special card and we ask you kindly to pay the full amount of costs you made, cash or by "plastic".
Het zou leuk zijn als elke bezoeker even de moeite neemt om samen met Jodi op de foto te gaan, zodat we haar achteraf een leuke en complete foto-collage kunnen meegeven.
Komt allen, zet uw alleraardigste gezicht op, neem te ruilen TB's en coins mee en laten we er een gezellig feestje van maken.
Het event is op zaterdagavond, er zijn voldoende parkeerplaatsen in de directe omgeving en deze zijn vanaf start event veelal gratis.
It would be nice if every visitor attending this event would take a brief moment to get in a picture together with Jodi, so afterwards we can try to make a nice photo-book to hand-over to her for souvenir.
So, don't hesitate to come over, bring along your best and kindest face, swappable TB's and coins and help making this event a memorable party for Jodi (and for us all).
As you noticed the event takes place on a Saturdayevening, and most of the parkinglots nearby will be free of charge by then.
