We looked at the calendar today and noticed it has been over 3 year since we decided to “take a quick walk.”
On 5/14/2012, Mr. Geo(Race)rs told Mrs. And Lil’ that we had an “Adventure” to try out and we were only taking a quick walk. Little did we know that the “little walk” would turn into a hobby and eventual everyday occurrence? We set off to find Dyngusborough, a “GeoCache” only a few hundred feet from our home. We made a quick walk to the caches’ GZ and made a quick first find. We laughed at how cool it was to find something hidden so close to home. We then used the Intro to Geocaching App to go after our second Geocache (in the same day). We made our way to GZ and had no luck. It didn’t matter; we thought this was the coolest!! I think I (Mr. Geo(Race)r) spent an hour online after logging our first find, checking out all the other caches nearby.
After all this and 3 years later, we are still caching and enjoying the local caching community so we thought what better way to honor this great group of folks and especially kalkavekkian for getting us hook on this crazy hobby, then to place a new cache.
We placed this cache in a cemetery in Dowagiac (like our very first cache) so no night caching.
Thanks to everyone in the Geocaching community for the hospitality and laughs. See you on the trails!!
We left an unactivated Bear TB for FTF!
