Geocache Description:

This Event Cache is a CITO (Cache In Trash Out) which is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. The main aim of this event is to clean up and preserve the natural areas that we enjoy while geocaching. A CITO Event is a gathering of geocachers focused on litter clean-up, removal of invasive species, planting trees and vegetation and trail building. Today our focus will be on cleaning up the Palisades Park area.

Date: Sat August 1, 2015
Time: 10:00am to Noon
Location: Meet at the parking area at Palisades Park
Activity: Following social gathering we will dispatch to cleanup.

This summer we’ll all be going on a geocaching journey to celebrate 15 years of geocaching. You’ll have the opportunity to complete five geocaching quests, each of which will earn you a special souvenir for your geocaching profile. Complete all five and you’ll earn a sixth, extra special souvenir.

After each quest begins, you’ll be able to complete it and earn your souvenir until September 2, 2015. This event qualifies for: July 31 – Sept 2: EarthCache or attend a CITO.

We have chosen this area for a CITO for August the 1st.

This Cache In Trash Out (CITO) Event is hosted by the Inland Empire Chapter of the Washington State Geocaching Association. Joining the WSGA is a great way to get the most out of Geocaching in our region. Simply go to WSGA website for more details.
