UPDATE: Best to park on the main road and walk in - it is not very far -
to avoid upsetting the neighbours as per one of the logs. Thanks.
8th of the month
Diary,
Weather: hot, sunny with a few scattered clouds
Start time: hit the trails at 4 pm hoping it would be a bit cooler on a later walk
Location: Southampton, Sauble Beach
I had so much fun with hubby. Since it had been a while since we geocached (our best individual day so far was pretty feeble in numbers) we hoped to make this day a personal best in the finds market and walk the rest of the day - even though it was a late start. Our favourite cache was the silver bullet nano that we found in a hole in a cedar fence post. Another was the twisty fake log hubby found near a stream. Thank goodness for some variety from the standard square sandwich tubs! Makes looking more interesting when you remember to expect the unexpected. Found some creative hides that we almost gave up on. We played another game while we played the Geocaching Game: we had joke competitions, made for some great laughs on the walk. However, I didn’t laugh when I travelled down the steep slope of GCXXZZXCC – “Higher than the Hills” - the fast way and twisted my ankle at the bottom. Gee, geocaching can be dangerous! At least it wasn’t a bad sprain and we were able to carry on. For the second time ever, we met some other cachers. They hadn’t been in Canada very long. We talked a lot about where we have lived and visited. They are new to Geocaching so they have yet to see many of the new creative containers. With only twenty-four finds to their name they have a lot of creative hides yet to discover!

Oh yeah, saw a beautiful bright red cardinal on the trail. Not our best animal geo-find by far but he was photogenic and sang a pretty song. But as I reached for my camera, he flew off. I'm not sure in which direction? I remember a while back, surprisingly the logs say it was nine months, when I almost stepped on a garter snake – that was a cool find. Our inside joke about me getting a mosquito bite at every cache didn’t pan out this time - only received five this afternoon. I used an itch cream but I’ve been dancing and miserable. ‘Course hubby jokes he’d need binoculars to see such tiny bumps. Amused, he says by the way I’m scratching I’ll turned myself into some sort of heptagon pretzel - hahaha
Kudos and high-five to us – our best day yet!
We even invented a new geocaching dance for our special discoveries.
Remember to pack: towels for muddy shoes when returning to the car
and to look before grabbing a cache - almost grabbed a wasp’s nest
Hopefully, we will be able to go out geocaching next weekend!
I had so much fun!

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
This container has room for small trackables or Geocoins. Please let the CO know if the cache needs attention.
Please treat this cache as your own ~ be stealthy, seal tight, re-hide as you found it.
