Otford is a pretty village in Kent, in the Darent valley on the edge of the North Downs. It has a long history and some things that you would not expect to find - such as a model of the Solar System. This Wherigo cache takes you on a walk of about 1 mile on relatively flat ground around the village and can be completed within 40 minutes. You must sign the log of this cache if you want to log your find on the Geocaching.com website.
**************************************
The cache, a bison tube, is not at the given coordinates. To find the location of the cache you will need to undertake the Wherigo. On the route round you will pass a number of other caches.
At each location you will see some information and are required to answer a simple question. If you get the answer wrong, you will be able to try again, or you can skip the question. You can only skip one question as you go round if you want to complete the cache. If you experience any problems, try walking outside the zone and re-entering it. There are some informative pop-up zones on the walk which do not have questions to answer.
Find out more information about Wherigo caches here. Download the cartridge you need to play the Otford Orbit. This cache was created with Earwigo.
Although much of the walk is on footpaths and in a park you do need to walk along the High Street, which is quite narrow and busy. If you are with children or dogs you will need to keep them under close control in these areas. You will also need to cross a couple of busy roads - please take care.
