The earliest mention of a church on this site was in a charter at Salisbury, dated 1240; namely ''Capella de Cernemue', or the Chapel of Charmouth. The present church as built in 1836 after an architect called in to advise about expanding the building found it to be unsafe.
The windows are dressed with local Beer Stone and the slate roof is of Boscastle slate.
“If anybody would like to expand this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
