In honor of one of my all-time favorites and an early nemesis published 6 months shy of a decade ago, I've decided to adopt this one, in spirit at least, since the original is now regrettably archived. Giz is, and will always be, an inspiration for all of us creative cache hiding types, as the original container for Sheltered in the Shelter attested to.
I feel I have an even greater responsibiliy to Pierce Park and while I need not spell it out here, it is evidenced in the listing and in the many CITO events that we, as a commited well-rounded geocachers, both host and participate in. There are opportunites like these in every community across this great state and we should continue to ebrace them as we directly benefit from their existence.
I was a bit skeptical of the shelter's redesign and the removal of the underground storage level. But as it has slowly taken shape over the past year, I think I'm getting more comfortable with it, just as you might need to be when retreiving the cache.
Thanks Giz for everything you've done to inspire and continue to do to keep them alive. Remember, there are many of us out there eager to adopt if and when the time comes to let one of yours go.
