Sacred Heart Cemetery is located along Montana Road on the SW side of Boone. It is located in Section 21 of Des Moines Township, Boone County, Iowa. The cemetery has a bit of an odd set-up. There is one main part to the cemetery, but there are several seperate areas where people are buried. When you first drive in here, you'll see the main part off to the west, but two smaller burial areas to the SW. I'm guessing these are family plots. We believe that the cache is hidden in what we think is the oldest section of the cemetery. If you take time to look at the gravestones here, you'll sadly find that many them are of infant children.
For those of you that are familiar with Kate Shelley, I found out that she is interred here. You can find her gravesite and a memorial plaque at N 42 02.904 W 93 55.014 in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
