Geocache Description:

Preform tube hidden near a nice swimming hole on the Obed River, and located in the Catoosa WMA. Catoosa is closed in February through March and during Big Game Hunts. Check with Rangers before planning a visit to make sure the area is open.

I placed this cache while hiking from Devil's Breakfast Table, to Nemo Bridge. Most of the hike is up away from the river, but there were a few sections where the trail comes down near the water and there are excellent swimming holes at each spot. Perhaps there are excellent swimming holes throughout the river systems here, but unless you can handle whitewater paddling, access to the rest of the river is pretty difficult. So enjoy these spots while you are there with a nice refreshing swim. The cache is a preform tube painted camo green. It is placed where the trail begins to climb away from the river. Look for a tree that is strangled by rock, and then check underneath loose stones near the trunk of the tree. The hike is either a 6 mile or 8 miles one way depending on which trailhead you start at. I highly recommend doing the entire length of the trail.
