He was born in Dublin and is one of its most famous folk singers. He was not born on Southside near ‘Raglan Road’ although he is connected with it through Patrick Kavanagh. He started life on the Northside of Dublin but there is some debate over which month he was born, but he reckoned that his mother was right about the month, because she was there at the time.
His other well known songs are The Town I Loved So Well and the rather more poignant Scorn Not His Simplicity. Plans to erect a commemorative statue near the cache site have never got beyond the ‘wishful thinking’ stage.
NORTH
A... The day-date of the month he died minus the day-date (a prime number) of the month he was born.
B... Add the above prime answer (A) to his actual age (another prime) when he died.
C... Now multiply answer B by answer A to get the 3 digit missing values in the N coordinates.
WEST
He was a prime singer in his day so it is fitting that the missing West coordinates are a prime number too.
N 53° 21.??? W 006° 14.???
