Let’s Gnome Corner
A cache by all attendees of 2015 JLWE
We Visited, We Cached and We enjoyed
Around Mundulla is some fantastic artwork and is a trail in itself. We have added to this and have enjoyed placing it in the open area of Mundulla, just near Jimmy’s Water hole.

The Gnomes all represent a geocacher that was at June Long Weekend Event 2015. Each geocaching team that came along donated a gnome to create this village. We have kept them together so you don’t have to go far and wide to find them all to have a look.
If you would like to add to our village feel free.
The cache is hidden on the Gnome that will light up your day with a smiley.

Gnome Facts – just a few
Garden gnomes are typically males, often bearded, usually wear red hats and often have pipes. They are made in various poses and shown pursuing various pastimes, such as fishing or napping
In 2013 the 100 year anniversary of Gnomes
Gnomes may be made from terracotta clay slip (runny clay) poured into molds. This is allowed to set up and the excess emptied from the centre, leaving a clay shell. The gnome is removed from the mold when firm, allowed to dry and then fired in a kiln until hard. Once cooled, the gnome is painted. More modern gnomes are made from resins and similar materials.
