Cache in Piazza Marconi conosciusta da tutti come Piazza del Pesce en: Cache in Mrconi square well known as Piazza del pesce ( fish square)

La Fontana della lotta tra uomo e squalo si trova in Piazza Marconi. Essa è più conosciuta come Fontana Del Pesce e fu realizzata nel 1965 dalla scultrice savonese Renata Cuneo (1903-1995), la prima donna europea invitata a partecipare con una mostra personale di sculture alla biennale di Venezia. Di forte impatto emotivo, il monumento di Piazza Marconi è una fontana a tre vasche: una circolare e due mezzelune sottostanti che ricevono una cascata d'acqua da quella sovrastante. Al centro di quella circolare, circondata da zampilli d'acqua su un masso di pietra verde di Stella, si erge la statua che rappresenta – nello scontro fra uomo e squalo – l’eterna lotta per la sopravvivenza e per la conquista della natura ostile, L’uomo che sfida e affronta l’animale simboleggia il coraggio eroico e la determinazione di sconfiggere le forze brute e oscure che – in una visione mitica del mondo – ci circondano e tentano di annientarci. EN: The Fountain of the struggle between man and shark is located in Piazza Marconi. It is best known as Fontana Del Pesce and was built in 1965 by the sculptor Savona Renata Cuneo (1903-1995), the first European woman invited to participate with a solo exhibition of sculptures at the Venice Biennale. As a strong emotional impact, the monument Piazza Marconi is a fountain with three pools: one circular and two crescents underlying receiving a waterfall from the one above. At the center of that circle, surrounded by jets of water on a stone boulder Green Star, is the statue that is - in the clash between man and shark - the eternal struggle for survival and for the conquest of the hostile nature, The man that challenges and confronts the animal symbolizes the heroic courage and determination to defeat the dark forces and brute that - in a mythical view of the world - around us and try to destroy us
