The theme for this year's local WWFM is "Ball Caps", so be sure to wear your favorite ball cap.
Because of the change in Groundspeak's requirements for the minimum amount of time an event can be held, this is the first year we will have a 30-minute (instead of a 15-minute) WWFM. However, we should have enough activities scheduled to keep everyone busy for 30 minutes.
The event will start at EXACTLY 12:00 pm (Noon), and end EXACTLY at 12:30 pm. Whether you stay and enjoy the park when the event is over, or keeping on geo-chatting with your geo-friends, that is up to you.
Here's a rough rundown of the 30 minute schedule:
- 11:58 am - Gather at the posted coordinates.
- 12:00 pm - The event begins! Everyone signs the logbook.
- 12:05 pm - Gather for group picture.
- 12:10 pm - Special presentation/demonstration on Wherigo geocaches by our very own Wherigo Expert, stearman5.
- 12:30 pm - The event ends. Everyone disperse, nothing to see here!
If you've never attended a WWFM, they are a lot of fun. Here is a bookmark list of all the WWFM's held in the Springfield MO area since 2007: Worldwide Flash Mobs (WWFM's) Held in the Springfield, Missouri Area.
For more information about Worldwide Flash Mobs, you can go to the Official World-Wide Flash Mob Geocaching Event Website.
Hope to see you there!
