出水川（でみずがわ）西武拝島線の萩山駅付近を源流とする川です。
出水川は黒目川の支流で、平成橋付近で黒目川と合流します。
現在では新青梅街道の交差地点から下流しか残っていません。
出水川の由来は「雨が降ると溢れるほどの水量となる」といわれます。
また「川の水が翌年まで持ち越さないでその年中に渇水となる」ことから不老川（としとらずがわ）という別名もあるそうです。
出水川橋は上流端から500mくらい下流の橋です。
二つの道が交差していますが、この二つの道は明治時代の地図にも載っている古い道です。
出水川橋は、東久留米と東村山をつなぐ都道129号線側の橋です。
このあたりでも水を見ることができますが、一部のみで干上がっています。
地元の人にお話を伺うと昔は下水が流れる汚い川だったそうです。
今は下水は川の下を流れているそうです。
