iowaPete: Well now. I gotta tell you that archiving this cache truly breaks my heart. But, a few things have changed in the past week. [V]
For those of you playing at home or who have visited this cache in the past, a film canister was placed under a lamp post collar outside of the Antique Mart. The instructions led you to the front door and told you to "make a good ole fashioned phone call."
Inside the shop was a labyrinth of aisles filled with antiques, trinkets, giftables, doodads and some real treasures. One of those treasures was an old-fashioned telephone booth, complete with a folding glass door that has a light that illuminates when closed, a seat inside. Honestly, it's beautiful.
Well, it has been for sale ever since this cache was placed. And, at some point last week, a customer came into the shop and spotted this gem --- and bought it. [:O]
The whole cache was designed around this telephone booth. And, with it gone, that meant the whole thing kinda unravels. So, with a sigh and a feeling of loss, I have to say goodbye to this terrific multi-cache. [:(]
HUGE THANK YOU to Kathy at the Antique Mart for allowing the placement of the geocache in the store. I think the staff there had just as much fun "helping" the cachers chase this one as they did in finding it. Got nothing but compliments about the store, the staff and the cache itself. I wish I could put out more of these so that the community could stay involved and we could all stay connected through this great game of ours. I appreciate everyone who took the time to stop in and try their luck. You all are the reason I keep doing this....
All the best,
iowaPete [:D]
