Geocache Description:

Welcome to Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center!

The cache is located on the welcome sign at the entrance to the park. I don't normally like micro containers, but a friend gave me this and I thought of no better container for the location. You will need tweezers to remove the log from this unique container. Please rehide EXACTLY as you found it.

Towns Bluff Park & Heritage Center
With RV Park & Campground

Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center is located on the Altamaha River and the Bullard Creek Wildlife Management Area.  The Park is maintained by Jeff Davis County and abounds in open spaces and outdoor activities.  The Altamaha River, designated by the Nature Conservancy as one of the 75 "Last Great Places in the World," boasts an ecosystem filled with wildlife, bird life and flora and fauna not seen anywhere else in Georgia.  Hunters will enjoy the white-tail deer, turkey and game birds, while nature lovers and photographers will embrace the chance for rare sightings of birds like the bald eagle, swallow-tail kite, and the red-cockaded woodpecker.  Fishermen will catch a variety of fish including the bass, bream and catfish.

The Heritage Center acts as our Welcome Center and also houses a small museum that is always changing.
