Wildlife Encounters in MN-Bullwinkle Traditional Cache

I was 6 away from 100 hides before leaving Florida, but I wanted to wait until I had a better feel of what the caches were like here in Minnesota before placing any. 

With some encouragement from a fellow Geo-Junkie (big shout out to bnelson333), I finally found a spot to place a few. 

Mom (MuggleMomNoMore), geoBaby-M, and I braved the rainy weather to check out a new park. Turns out it's not new to Mom! She walks here quite often from her home in Coon Rapids. So, with her as my guide, we took a tour of Pheasant Ridge Park in Coon Rapids to look for some potential hiding spots. 

It was a nice .83 mile loop on a paved trail with lots of little trails into the woods along the way. This spot is close to the playground and the first spot that drew me into the woods. I found my first tree fort here, but there just wasn't any place to leave Bullwinkle near it, so I choose the next most suitable GZ location. 

I hope you enjoy the park. It has a nice playground, paved trail, and there were lots of songbirds along the way! 

This is my first official Minnesota hide!
