The Calala Lane ends at the roundabout and the back Kootingal Road continues on to the villages of Kootingal and Moonbi. This is quite a picturesque drive but beware of kangaroos in the early morning or late afternoon.
The big green shed is the site of a fertaliser plant, now shifed to Sydney because the locals did not like the smells. The locals knew what they were getting into when they bought their properties, but this didn't stop them kicking up a fuss.
