This area has been home since the houses were built following the demolition of the Iron Works. The road bridge, built in 2000, crosses the Staffs & Worcs Canal to give access to a new housing development. Previously there was a pedestrian access footbridge to the demolished Stourvale Iron Works.
You can incorporate this as part of a walk along the canal and find other caches along the route in either direction, either heading towards Wolverley and Cookley where theres a lovely pub and tearoom to take a break at or you can walk in the other direction towards Stourport, maybe stopping at Weavers Wharf for a spot of shopping or something to eat. Theres plenty of places to park along the route.
