Poolsbrook Country Park was once the site of the former Ireland Colliery, but has been transformed from dereliction into a tremendous country park and amenities area. The nature reserve area is beautiful all year round. There are car parks at either side of the park, but please check the opening times. Please be aware if you have little ones with you that there are ponds in the park.
Watch out for muggles.
