On the south coast Plakias is a nice holiday location. From the cache location you have a nice view on the Libian sea and the coastline to the west. Especially the sunset at this location is wonderfull.
The first official mention of Plakias was in 1961 in a census as the permanent home of six fisherman. It now developed to a tourist resort where in September the "World international tourism day" is celebrated with a big evening festival.
