Near Horse Camp, this double-wide ammo box crammed full of goodies is courtesy of
SeanStafford&GCWidow.

ECP and I did this hike as more or less a loop. I dropped her and our gear off at Horse Camp then drove our geo-mobile down to the Spooner Ranch parking lot.
I had intended to grab a ride with someone heading back up but a ranger was happy to give me a "courtesy shuttle".

This is a very nice trail. The switch-backs are well planned and tame the grade to a very manageable degree. There are several benches along the way that provide rest spots and great views - of which there are plenty!

Of course sections can be done as out and backs but walked (or ridden)
as shown is about 6 1/2 miles. Have fun!
