Ördögárok
which is a small stream going trough Buda. This series will show even for tourist cachers the most famous places of this stream.

Az Ördög-árok vízfolyása a Nagykovácsi-medencében ered, s onnan délkeleti irányban a Kopasz-erdő és a Remete-hegy között, majd a Remete-szurdokon áttörve a Hűvösvölgybe érkezik. A Vadaskert és a Hárs-hegy között már kőlapokkal burkolt mederben folyik, azután a Hidász utcát elérve – egy nagy iszapfogó csapdán átfolyva – a föld alatt folytatja útját. A Hűvösvölgyi út laktanyáitól a Gábor Áron és Raul Wallenberg emlékművei alatt, a Városmajor, a Maros utca, a Déli pályaudvar, a Vérmező, a Horváth-kert, az Árok utca és a Döbrentei tér nyomvonalon kanyarog. A Dunát az 1646,2 folyamkilométernél éri el, s az alsó rakpart alatt ömlik a nagy folyóba. Az Ördög-árok medrét jól kiemeli a hátlapunkon bemutatott Buda látrajzokkal díszített, 1837-ben készített térképe (az Országos Széchenyi Könyvtár tulajdona).
A vízfolyás az alsó szakaszán csak a pleisztocén végén vágódott be. Ekkor alakult ki a Vérmező, mint az Ördög-árok hordalékos lapálya. Az Ördög-árok által felfűzött medencék hossztengelye mind megegyezik az uralkodó törésvonalak irányával: északnyugati–délkeleti irányúak, és valamennyiüket lösz tölti ki.
