Geocache Description:


Herring Red

The cache is NOT at the posted coords but IS at one of the locations below.

As the name might suggest, this is a different type of Red Herring puzzle. The whole Red Herring clan got together & their leader decided to come up with something new. They sent their most tech-savvy "fish" out to hide this cache. He came up with 10 locations which are shown below. The actual cache IS located at one of these spots. What's the "catch" you might ask? Well, in order to get the correct location of the cache, you will have to locate the correct "solution checker." It might be on Geocheck.org, Geochecker, or Certitude- you just need to find it!

Your second thought might be- suppose I just drive to each of the locations and search for the cache. Well, that too is a possibility- maybe! You will have a 16 mile loop trip looking for an evil 4 ½ difficulty hide, which will be reduced to a simple 1 ½ difficulty hide with the hint provided via a verified, correct answer. So, you might end up making this 16 mile loop a number of times and still not find the cache- maybe! This will be a whole lot easier & quicker to find once you have found the correct solution checker and entered the correct location.
