I recently read an interesting article about this church.
It indicated that the church was built to a village scale and is typical of brick Gothic Revival churches of the 1880s. The narrow tower makes it appear higher. The Springville church was built as the centre of the linear village.
Unfortunately, this is another piece of history we are losing to the bulldozer. The church has been acquired by the Ministry of Transport and is scheduled for demolition.
