Lochan View - Craufurdland Traditional Cache

Placed with the kind permission of the land owners, namely Alex Craufurd at the Craufurdland Fishery.  Please access this series via the stones gates as you approach from Waterslap, Fenwick.  Park only at the cafe where there are designated spaces. Bring your own pen.

Craufurdland Estate on the outskirts of Kilmarnock and Fenwick is host to a number of outdoor pursuits, including fishing, mountain biking, archery, walking and the infamous Muddy Trials.  It can now also boast Geocaching!

This series of caches will take you through the estate.  All of the caches are within 30 meters or so of the paths, however sturdy boots or wellies are recommended.  There is something for everyone. There is no need to jump over any fences during this series.

This cache takes you round the back of the lochan.  Depends on which way you came it will have either been a nice walk, or a slog through the mud, so the terrain rating may be open for negotiation.  Additionally, I wouldn't recommend walking fully round the back end of the lochan as the ground gets very boggy - don't say you I didn't warn you!
