Geocache Description:

This is a series based on the ancient Irish townland system and while the places chosen may seem a little random, they all mean something to me.

A 35mm film cannister with log and pencil. Please return exactly where found.

The Townland of Lisnisky is in the Parish of Seagoe in the Barony of Oneilland East in The County Of Armagh.
The name probably comes from the Gaelic name 'Lios na Sgeach' which means 'Fort of the Briars/Thorns'.
It measures 184.14 acres making it the 677th largest townland in County Armagh.
It is bordered by Drumnagoon, Knockmenagh, Lylo, Bocombra, Killycomain, Seagoe Upper and Kernan.
Features include Craigavon Area Hospital and Kernan Playing Fields.

Lisnisky has been chosen first because it is the townland where I was born on the 29th of February 1976. So it's where me, my brothers and my wife and many other local geocacher's stories, started. More recently, it was the venue for one of the most amazing days of my life, the birth of my beautiful daughter who has filled my world with joy ever since!
