Redpass Hotel

Was built in 1924 by Earl Woodley and it accomodated many travellers in the 26 years it was in existence. Rooms were approximately $7.00 per night. The hotel's excellent kitchen made up for the fact that the hotel had no running water. The hotel was commonly visited by travellers that were changing trains on the trip from Prince Rupert to Vancouver. The hotel consisted of 10 guest rooms, a large dining room, a large lobby, another room for family, a kitchen and a pantry. When Mr. Woodley retired in 1946 the hotel was bought by the Kronstedt family. A fire destroyed the building three years later in 1949.
