Geocache Description:

Paniahue is a village belonging to the town of Santa Cruz in the Colchagua Valley, a wine region with long tradition in producing world-class wines. The Colchagua Valley has achieved recognition as the "Best Wine Region of the World 2005 ", award given to a wine region of South America for the first time.

The origin of the word Paniahue is controversial, because it is associated with an aboriginal word meaning "place for taking the glare", but there are also records that the village was so called by association with "Francisco Pan y Agua", mayor of Colchagua and administrator of the "Indian villages " in the seventeenth century.

The cache is hidden in the park "La Santa Cruz Paniahue " next to the Chimbarongo river and an old bridge which links Paniahue with Santa Cruz .
