I started geocaching on 6-29-2005 - 10 years ago from the date of this event! Help me celebrate by joining me at Roselle Park in Ada Township, where I hid my first cache, Where's The Beef? (GCPTCH - now archived) on 7-20-2005. This is more logical than hosting an event where I found my first geocache, which was in Ludington State Park!
When: Monday, June 29
Time: 6:30 - 7:00 pm, and as long after as people would like to stay.
Place: Roselle Park, Ada Township. Coords lead you to the parking area, event will be held just off the parking area. Keeping fingers crossed for good weather!
And yes, it's a weeknight when I would normally be at work. But it's a 5th Monday, and therefore our program at work is closed and we work daytime hours [:)]
Roselle Park has a nice hiking loop and more than a couple of caches to keep you occupied if you've never been out here. I plan to have some kind of refreshments - probably ice cream or popsicles or something like that.
