Geocache Description:

Starting in June Groundspeak has challenged us to go out and complete a few challenges.  The idea is to get us out of the park and grab rut.  Each time you complete a challenge in the given time period you get a souvenir and the bonus is if you get all five you get a 6th one free.

After each quest begins, you’ll be able to complete it and earn your souvenir until September 2, 2015. So pack your bag, load up on snacks and set your road trip playlist, because here are your quests and their start dates:

  • June 19 – Sept 2: Find a geocache with 10 or more Favorite Points
  • July 3 – Sept 2: Attend an Event, Mega-Event or Giga-Event
  • July 17 – Sept 2: Find a T5 or D5 geocache
  • July 31 – Sept 2: Find an EarthCache or attend a CITO
  • August 14 – Sept 2: Find a Mystery Cache

I had just about everything covered but the event.  So I thought to myself, self, get a hold of KPUB66 and host an event jointly with her since it is always nice to have help with an event.   So we got on the phone and talked it over and chose a date and a time and well here we go, one souvenir in the bag.

So on Saturday 11 July at 5:00 PM we will meet up at Sheperd Park in Stuart and just have a good old time sharing stories about the latest geo-quest we’ve been on or are planning.  New folks can meet the old timers and get some valuable insight on how to find caches or navigate the website.  We will stay till about 7:00 PM

We will provide ice cold bottled water and maybe some snacks.  If you want to bring a sandwich or picnic dinner feel free to do so.  If it is available we will meet in the pavilion otherwise we will find a place to sit and enjoy each other’s company.  I suggest that you bring some folding chairs just in case.
