Fort Palmetto Wherigo Cache

Fort Palmetto in use during the civil war was a three-gun battery constructed at the eastern terminus of the Christ Church Lines.  This Whereigo Geocache will take you to that site.

The physical geocache is NOT located in the vincinity of the protected historical site.  Pleae treat this site with respect.

This is a Wherigo cartridge geoache.  You will need to download the app to your smartphone if you don't have a Wherego GPS device. Latest cartridge is from September 2016.

This cache follows a trail to Fort Palmetto.  Be sure to start the cartridge at the posted coordinates. You will need to answer questions along the way.  All the answers are posted in the area. No research is required.  Once you walk the length of the trail and answer all the questions, the Wherego cartridge will provide the coordinates for the physical geocache.

Enjoy the scenery at the end of the trail.  Picnic tables are also available.
