To run the cartridge you may use a Garmin Colorado or Oregon, or a pocket PC. Most smart phones and tablets are equipped with GPS receivers and can play Wherigo cartridges. These devices require an app such as WhereYouGo or openwig or WherigoPlayer. If you have difficulty downloading a cartridge directly to your device, you may need to download to a computer first and then copy the file to the device. If the device has a limited memory, you may need to load the cartridge to an SD memory card. There is no charge for the apps or the cartridges.
This Wherigo asks you to answer several multiple choice questions about the WestCan MEGA events that have been held in the four western provinces over the last few years. If you don't know anything about those events at the start - you are sure to know a little more by the time you complete this cartridge.
You begin the adventure near the front door of the Parkland Recreation Complex in Dauphin, site of the WestCan5 MEGA event called Country Legends Manitoba 2015. As you get the correct answer to each question a new zone will become available to you. You move from one zone to the next until you have earned the coordinates to the geocache. That will be a short drive (or longish walk) from the recreation centre.
