The church is the oldest structure in the Borough of Lambeth, except for the crypt of Lambeth Palace
The burials and monuments are 950 years worth of history.
In 1062 a wooden church was built on the site, later in the century it was rebuilt as a stone church.
The church was a place of burial until the churchyard was closed in 1854. It is estimated that there were over 26,000 burials here.
In 1972 the church was made redundant in consequence of its dilapidation and gloom, and also because of changes in the population settlement of the parish.
And so to the cache...
This is a short multi, and the final is just a few moments away, but is in an area that will need a little bit of stealth.
The final cache is not available at all times, please see the attributes.
To find the cache you need some numbers
Near to the coords is a large vertical rusty red pillar. On the Thames side it has two words…
You need the first six letter word abcdef use the letters for numbers, ie. A=1, B=2, Z=26…
if the word was caches… a=3, b=1, c=3… and so on
So the coords for the final are
N51 (b+b) (a+b+b) . (a) (e-d) (a-b-d)
W000 (f-f) (a) . (e-d-b) (d-b) (d)
Please bring a pen, you need it to sign the log!
