キャッシュは、上原城へ向かう道の途中にある、「板垣平」という名の平地付近に設置しました。
ここには昔、諏訪氏の館があり、ここから諏訪地方を支配していました。
武田信玄の諏訪侵攻で諏訪氏が滅亡すると、諏訪地方を支配したのは武田家の板垣信方でした。
彼はここに館を建て、以降40年間武田家はここを拠点にしました。
そのため、この場所は「板垣平」という地名になっています。

I installed the cache in place called "Itagaki Daira" in the middle of the way toward the Uehara Castle.
There was a hall of Suwa family and ruled over the Suwa district in old days here.
When Suwa family was ruined by Suwa Invasion of Shingen Takeda, it was Nobukata Itagaki of the Takeda family to have ruled over the Suwa district.
He built a hall here, and after that the Takeda family was based in here for 40 years.
Therefore this place becomes the place name called "Itagaki Daira".
