Easy Park and Grab
I placed a cache here because I used to work here in the 80's and 90's
I have so many memories of working at "The Paper Shoppe"
It was a Retail / Wholesale store (one of 9 in Ontario) that sold paper to small to medium sized Printing shops and to end users as well.
The Markham Store (#2) 256 Denison was the first store I worked at joining in 1985 and Dave Barnes was my manager.
I also worked in every other Ontario store at one time or another (Downtown Toronto #1), Mississauga #3, Hamilton #4, London #5, Scarborough North #6, Downsview #7, Rexdale #8 (I started that location personally), and Scarborough south #9
Eventually I was promoted to Ontario Sales Manager and was in charge of staff at all the stores.
But Markham was always the store that was home to me. Great memories of co-workers Dave, Terry, Randy, Darlene and others
I was the manager of the Markham Store for a couple of years and even started a mobile version of the store called Paper On Wheels.
Perhaps if you lived or worked in this area in the late 90's you remember seeing a bright red Cube Van with White Lettering and a huge POW and a fist on the side of the truck driving around.
The stores were closed down around the beginning of the millenium so the company may be gone but the memories will remain.
